- Ensure that the power source to the coffee machine is turned on
- Check that the coffee machine is set to the correct temperature
- For machines with an electronic timer, ensure that the electronic timer is not in sleep mode
- Ensure there is no blockage in the steam nozzles
- Ensure that the steam knob isn’t broken
- Ensure that the hot water knob is not broken
- Check if the waste box of your coffee machine is not blocked by removing the drip tray
- If the leakage persists, turn off the power and the water supply to the machine
- Ensure the group filter holder(s) and the group heads are clean
- Make the filter handle contains the right filter baskets
- Replace the group head gaskets if having difficulty fitting portafilter
- Check the pressure gauge and ensure the machine is set to the correct pressure
- Ensure the filter holders are locked into the group heads and the correct basket is being used
- The pump pressure should read between 7 - 9 bar for rational pumps and 15 bar for vibration pump with start-up pressure
- Check if there is steam pressure and that the operating pressure is at 1 to 1.2 bar maximum
- Ensure that the grinder is switched on and hopper shutter is open
- Adjust the grinder ring, one notch at a time
- Ensure that the coffee beans are not too fine and correct dosage is used
- If the problem persists, change the grinder blades
- Ensure the milk frother is clean and that it is correctly fitted to the coffee machine
- Ensure the milk frother is clean
- Try using different milk for varied textures
